What Is Stone Therapy?

Stone Therapy is one of the fastest growing treatments in the United Kingdom and can be coincided into any beauty business.

 

Use as a body treatment in a salon or spa environment or incorporate into facials, manicures and pedicures. Throughout history various cultures have used warm stones with massage to relieve aching muscles, improve circulation and aid lymphatic drainage.

 

There are many different variations on hot stone massage, but all use the same basic equipment; basalt or marble flat rocks, that are oblong and smooth to the touch. These stones are special volcanic rocks that have a high iron content; which enables them to retain heat for an extended period of time. These warm stones are massaged over the body and relaxes it to it`s deepest levels. It also has profound effects on the mental, physical and spiritual levels of the body.
